My Dearest AMMA,

I am Vilasiniamma and the patient’s name is Jagadhamma. She is staying in Kollam District, Karunagappilly. She is my brother’s wife. My brother is no more and they had no children. Her brothers are not in a position to help her and we are in a poor financial situation. She is a coolie worker. Her illness started as severe stomach pain and she had undergone treatment in another hospital. After some tests we came to know that she has cancer in the ovary. As we do not have enough money to meet the treatment expenses, we went to Amma’s Ashram. From the Ashram we were told to come to AIMS.

At AIMS she underwent three chemotherapies followed by an operation, and to some extent the disease has got cured. The total expense had cost Rs.28,520/- and the hospital conducted the surgery free of cost with the grace and blessings of Amma. After the surgery, two more chemotherapies were done. We are very much thankful to Amma for conducting the surgery free of cost. We are very much thankful to the hospital authorities for all their help and services.

My Humble Pranams to AMMA,

I am Baby and I am 38 years old. I am staying at Iringalakkudda. My husband’s name is Pulan Joby. From my childhood onwards I have had a problem with my heart, i.e. valves are becoming smaller. I am leading my life with the help of meditation. Now when we consulted a doctor, he told us that I have to have a surgery. If I do not undergo the surgery, then the disease will affect the other valves. We are financially very poor and cannot afford the cost for the treatment. Then we approached the patient service department at Amrita hospital because we heard that we might get a reduction in the cost.

My husband is a coolie worker and we are financially very poor. We came to the hospital on 2nd January 2006 and on 3rd January 2006 the surgery was done. On 11th January 2006 I was discharged. We are very much thankful to Amma for providing such a service. We are also thankful to all the staff of AIMS for helping us and through the patient’s service with a concession of Rs.65,084/-.

MY Dearest AMMA,

I am Biju, staying in Idukki district, Arrakulam Panchayat, Mulammattam Kara. Last year I married a girl from the Christian community and I belong to a Hindu one. Both the families was against our marriage. On 4th December 2006, I became a father and after the birth of our son also, our families were against us. After one week, my son had difficulty breathing and we took him to the nearby hospital. Two days later they told us to take the child to Amrita hospital. With Amma’s blessings he was admitted at AIMS. After doing some tests the doctors said that the veins in the heart are in twisted position and the surgery would require Rs.1,50,000/-. Hearing this we almost broke down.

Then we met the patient service department and told them about our pathetic condition. They enquired about me and through the Mata Amritanandamayi Math, they granted Rs.73,500/- for the operation. For saving my child’s life I am obliged to Amma. I am expressing my heartfelt gratitude for Her blessings and help. Amma will always occupy an important positon in our hearts.

Regards,
Biju K.S.(father).

Humble Pranams to the Lotus feet of AMMA,

I am a devotee of Amma and am staying in Ernakulam District, Alwaye Taluk, Puthiyidam Village, Parapuram Karayil Janmakulamkara House. My husband is no more. For 7 years, he had been receiving treatment for Diabetes, so we had to sell our house and properties to afford his treatment. I have 3 daughters and for the past 4 months I am having some diseases. My illness had started with stomach pain and vomiting. When we heard about the camp conducted at Brahmasthanam, we went with all the scan reports and they gave a card to visit the doctor in the Amrita Hospital. Then we went to the Amrita hospital and there we got the appointment and the doctor told us it is the early stage of cancer. As it is only the early stage, it can be treated with an operation. Then we approached the patient service department and they enquired about us.

On 1 January 2006, they conducted the operation and on 8 January 2006, I was discharged. Till that time we had only heard about the Amrita Hospital and when we came here we really felt that it is actually a Temple. With the high tech facilities and with the help of the doctors and loving staff, they saved my life and gave me a concession of Rs.33,000/- through the patient service department. I would like to show my sincere gratitude to Amma and also showing my heartfelt thanks to all the staffs of the hospital. I would also like to offer my humble pranams at the Lotus feet of our dear Amma with the hope that Amma will provide Her blessings for my family and me.
