My name is Binimol. My mother is having breast cancer. Am residing at Palliprathersherry, Vaikom thaluk, Kottayam district. 7-years back, my father was treated at a local hospital for throat cancer. On 5th September 2007, father expired. Before the debt of my father’s treatment gets over, my mother was diagnosed of having breast cancer. Am 35-years old and do not have any permanent job. Owing to financial problems, I have not got married till now. I really long to save my mother. We have only amma. The pain of loosing mother is beyond what words could express. I cannot even imagine that. I love my mother above all, more than my life. Soon after my father was diagnosed as cancer we had come to Vallikavu with my father to meet Amma. My name is salila, I am from a place named”chembu” at vaikom district. My mother Rajamma had been suffering from severe abdominal problems for the last few years. Initially, we thought it was due to some gas problem and took some medicines for the same. But last January, my mother’s condition became worse. We took her to a nearby govt.hospital. After a detailed check up the doctor told that she was having stones at gall bladder for the last 15 years. We shifted mother from govt.hospital to another hospital. But, the doctor advised us to take her to some private hospital, as it was a high-risk surgery and they did not have the facilities too.
We are 3 daughters for our parents. We have only 2 cent plot as our asset. We 3 got married and in that aspect our family is in heavy debt. My father is a coolie worker and due to ill health now he is not in a condition to do any work. It was at this situation, we reached at ammas hospital at Ellemakarae. I am K.Sindu from chulliyodukottayil, vayanadu district. I was referred to AIMS from the Kayatti amritakripa hospital and I was hospitalized in AIMS from 13/05/08 till 9/6/08, for which I was given all the help from here including my food and medicine. Also am very impressed with the courteous behavior of the doctors and staff of AIMS .
My family consists of father, mother, sister and myself. None of my family member has got a permanent job, which made them very difficult to carry out my treatment. Since I have a hole in the heart, doctors suggested me to replace it. But we were unable to meet the expense of the whole treatment. Detailing our pathetic condition we submitted a requisition to ashram and also to patient service. After their enquiry they understood all our difficulties.

Since I have a hole in the heart, doctors suggested me to replace it. But we were unable to meet the expense of the whole treatment. Detailing our pathetic condition we submitted a requisition to ashram and also to patient service. After their enquiry they understood all our difficulties.
Considering my difficulties my operation cost 1,43,894 was done freely for me. Its all due to the immense blessing of amma. In the language of love am offering my thousand thanks to amma.
My operation was done and now am perfectly all right. I once again extend my thousand thanks to amma for her kindness that saved my family.

I am Suresh Kumar, from perubaza, ellavoor panchayat, at kollam district. My father is a cancer patient and he was treated in a nearby hospital. In order to meet the expense over there we sold our house and other properties but we couldn’t save his life.

One year ago, I was told that I have a small tumor in my eyes and when I showed it to doctors in the nearby hospital, they said that there is some problem with the optical nerves of my eyes. On April 21, 2004 I had a heart attack and I was admitted in the nearby hospital. For 5 days I was in the ICU, then I was brought to AIMS for further treatment. An Angiogram was taken and other tests were also done, the total costs coming up to Rs.25,000/-. The doctors told us that operation is the only option. We are living on the Pension amount that I receive monthly and we do not have any other ways of earning our livelihood.Because of the financial difficulties, I decided to postpone the operation for 2 months. As I could not afford the operation charges, we went for Ayurvedic treatment. There were 5 blocks in my heart and doctors advised surgery again. On December 8th 2005 we went to see Amma in Vallikavu and along with thousands of other devotees we got an opportunity to see Amma. We told Her of all our difficulties and She told us to do the surgery in AIMS hospital. After the lunch we sat down in the hall and one hour later I experienced a severe chest pain. I was taken to the casualty department at AIMS. Angiogram was taken and the blocks were still present. Doctors advised that the operation should be conducted as early as possible, otherwise it would be dangerous.We had already spent Rs.30,000/-. Due to our poor financial situation we approached the patient service department for treatment help. Swami Vivekamrita Chaitanya gave us a letter and we gave the Verification Report to the Patient service department. On 15th January 2007 the operation was done. With the grace of Amma, the operation was successful, and I was discharged on 24th January 2007. It is only because of the guidance of Amma that the operation was successful. We received a concession of Rs.98,000/- and I do not have enough words to express my deep felt thanks to Amma for saving my life. My family and I would like to convey our sincere thanks and humble pranams at the Lotus feet of Amma.

I am Mohanan and my daughter’s name is Priya. She is 11 years old and studying in 6th standard. For the past four months, she has a severe headache and tiredness of her hands and legs. She is not able to carry her school bag and she is also not in a position to walk or eat. We took her to all the nearby hospitals and after checkup they told us that she had a hole in her heart and if it becomes greater than 8mm an operation is required. We are from a very poor family and we have already spent Rs.20,000/- for her treatment. We are not in a position to bare the treatment and operation charges, as I am a coolie worker and financially very weak.
For the treatment, we came to the Amrita hospital. As we are not able to undertake the treatment expenses, we approached the patient service department. They enquired about us and understood our situation. We are great devotees of Amma. We saw Amma and told Her our situation and from Amma’s Ashram we got a letter to show to the patient service department. As a result we did not have to pay the operation charges. On 13th she was admitted in the hospital and on 15th the surgery was conducted. The surgery had cost Rs.1,60,796/-. She is doing well now. But no cure was found even after taking the medicines. After an Angiogram was done, 3 blocks were found in my heart and I was told that I needed to undergo a bypass surgery.
It was very difficult to buy the medicines itself, and we are not in a position to afford the cost of operation. On 5/12/2006, I was admitted to the hospital as my disease became very severe and on 7/12/2006 the surgery was performed. The surgery had cost Rs.94,600/- and it was done free of cost.
